Ikhala TVET College online applications for 2025 academic year,are now available for students who wish to pursue theirVocational education, Skills development, and Artisan orientated courses.The information in this article will help you on how to apply for admission.

Ikhala TVET College (Ikhala College) was formed on 1st April 2002 through the merging of a number of previous Technical Colleges. Currently Ikhala College is serving the communities of the Northern Region of the Easter Cape with campuses at Aliwal North, Ezibeleni, Queen Nonesi (Lady Frere), Komani, and Sterkspruit.

Ikhala TVET College offers wide range of courses that is National Certificate Vocational Courses  and Report 191 Courses.This programmes are offered across their sic campuses namely:

Applicants should have a valid email address, if not they should create one or ask for assistance from the Application/Registration staff.

Step 1. Career Guidance
Step 2. Online Application
  • Identify the course you wish to study, career counselling is available on call if you are still not sure. Complete the online application for the chosen programme/ course.
Step 3. Attach Documentation
  • Attach your application documentation (Certified ID Copy, Results, Next of Kin ID Copy, Photo). Your documents will be checked and approved if they are clear and certified but will be rejected if they are not clear or have an outdated date stamp.
Step 4. Selection
  • You will receive an e-mail after every step, updating you about the status of your application. After 30 September 2024, the college will start the selection process and communicate with you regarding the status of your application via email & SMS. The e-mail will have the registration details.
Step 5. Accept Offer

If you are admitted, you will receive an email & SMS informing you that you are “Provisionally Accepted” and you will be expected to Accept the offer on your Student Portal and print the Enrolment form.

Step 6. Registration
Once your application has been submitted, the college will inform you if you have been admitted and you will be required to write a pace test, thereafter you are expected to attend classes.

Ikhala TVET College admission requirements

For the level courses the minimum requirement is Grade 9 or 10, but students may also enter the programme with Grade 11 or 12.

For the certificate the student needs a Grade 12. This is a two year course and it aims to equip learners with the necessary skills required for elementary employment in different industries.
